Event Type

Winter is in full swing and Walter is once again going to run a Saturday Ski Tour for us.

The Plan:
The location for the tour will be made available to participants on the Friday evening before the tour by the mountain guide leading the tour. Tour or Freeride, while the idea is that it will be somewhat tour focused if conditions on one of the tour days are perfect for freeriding this may be an alternative programme. The tour will take place regardless of weather conditions. The tour and location will be adapted to suit the prevailing conditions, but be run under the philosophy of no bad weather with the correct equipment.

The tour will be led by a local UAIGM qualified Mountain Guide. (Walter Gubler)

Tour Level:
The tours will not be too technically difficult, but will most likely (unless more freeride orientated) have in the region of 1000m of ascent under your own power. Ascending 1000m with a pace of about 350m per hour is a prerequisite for participating in this tour. Max No of Participants:
The tour will run with 4 participants (max 4 participants with the current BAG rules)

Meeting Point:
The meeting point will be provided on the evening before the tour. Due to Covid carpooling is not recommended, (unless people wear masks) therefore it is best if you have some for of transportation to get to the tour location.
